Joan Jett's Gibson Melody Maker for the MET NYC's "Play it Loud" show.

Photographed for promotional material for the MET museum's incredible "Play it Loud" exhibition. Used extensively in international advertising, the official opening invitation and even bus stands on Fifth Avenue.

Joan was on tour in Australia when word came that the guitar was required to be in the official advertising. Asked to capture this historic instrument, I pre-set the lighting in the studio, drove to The Corner Hotel in Richmond, picked up the tour manager and the instrument. We then spent a little time photographing, before returning the guitar and it's minder back to the venue in time for Joan's soundcheck. I even got to fumble David Bowie's "Rebel Rebel" before receiving a scolding from the TM "don't tell anyone about  that". Oops.
